This term Level 3 Media students took over BBC Radio Oxford for an hour, joining Radio Presenter Alice Hopkins on her evening show.
On Thursday 30th March between 8pm and 9pm, six of our students joined Radio Presenter Alice Hopkins on her evening show for an hour called 'Upload鈥 Special. BBC Radio Oxford dedicated the hour to playing pre-recorded packages created by our students on a variety of topics they felt passionate about.
The students chose to share their own experiences, discuss topics important to them and give some recommendations for the listeners. They covered topics such as being diagnosed with epilepsy, living with a disability, the benefits of exercise and creativity, and their top tv and film recommendations.
The experience enabled our Level 3 Media students to share topics which are important to them, all whilst gaining essential professional experience of producing radio content to complement their studies with us. It is opportunities like these which help give our students strong foundations to build on as they take their next steps after college.
Congratulations to all our Level 3 Media students who took part in the 鈥楿pload鈥 special for putting together a brilliant programme and thank you to BBC Radio Oxford for welcoming our students and providing them with this brilliant opportunity.
