College Farm welcomes local community for Open Farm Sunday

Due to the extreme weather conditions and in the interests of the health, safety and wellbeing of our students and staff, the College will close early on:

• Wednesday 24th June: College will close at 2.00 pm

• Thursday 25th June: College will close at 1.00 pm

Please note our Bicester Campus is open as normal and Bicester Open Evening will be going ahead as planned on Wednesday 24th June (our Bicester Campus has air conditioning!). Register below.

Bicester open day

We were delighted to welcome so many of you to our Common Leys Farm Campus for the 2024 Open Farm Sunday on 9^th June.

Open Farm Sunday is an annual event, organised by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming), which celebrates British Farming; giving visitors an opportunity to learn more about farming and the countryside, and farmers the chance to talk about what they’re so proud of: British food and farming!

To celebrate this year, our College Farm hosted a variety of activities and demonstrations including animal handling, pony riding, and sheep shearing demonstrations in the Livestock Technology Centre.

Visitors also enjoyed plant sales, face painting, fresh produce sold at the farm shop, and a variety of delicious hot food options provided by our brilliant market traders.
