This course is designed for individuals with no prior knowledge of Ukrainian. Over 10 weeks, students will learn the fundamentals of the Ukrainian language, including basic vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and conversational skills. The course aims to provide a solid foundation for further study and practical use of Ukrainian in everyday situations.
By the end of the course learners will be able to:鈥 Greet people formally and informally 鈥 Introduce themselves and share basic personal details 鈥 Talk about their family, job, and daily life鈥 Order food, ask for prices, and go shopping鈥 Understand key Ukrainian grammar concepts such as verbs, pronouns, and possessives鈥 Read and pronounce simple Ukrainian phrases correctly鈥 Engage in basic conversations relevant to travel and everyday life

Please note there are no classes during half term.

Entry criteria
There are no formal entry requirements just a willingness to explore a fascinating language. The standard approximates to level A0/A1 in terms of the Common European Framework.

Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2026 prior to starting the course.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
