Celebrate the season with creativity in this joyful six-hour workshop where participants will design and make their own festive silver decorations. From delicate snowflakes and stars to sculptural hanging ornaments, this workshop offers a festive introduction to silversmithing and jewellery-making techniques.

Attendees will learn to saw, texture, form, and finish silver sheet and wire, producing one or more unique silver decorations to take home. Perfect as gifts or keepsakes, these handcrafted pieces bring a personal touch to the holiday season. Throughout the workshop, you will:

Learn how to safely use silversmithing and jewellery tools

Design festive forms such as stars, trees, snowflakes, or abstract seasonal shapes

Saw and shape silver sheet and wire to create dimensional ornaments

Apply decorative surface textures using hammers, punches, and stamps

Solder components where needed to add layered or hanging elements

Polish and finish pieces to achieve a festive shine or rustic patina

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those with some jewellery-making experience. All materials and tools are provided, and participants will leave with their own finished silver festive decorations, ready to gift or display."

Free parking onsite, bus stop outside. Bring own refreshments if needed. We recommend wearing closed, comfortable shoes.

Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2026 prior to starting the course.

Fee information

This course/workshop includes a material fee that provides essential resources and hands-on demonstrations, empowering you to achieve your learning goals and master new skills with confidence. Please note that the cost of materials for this workshop may vary. Silver prices fluctuate throughout the year, and because this course uses real silver for your jewellery project, the material fee will be adjusted to reflect the market price at the time of the workshop. Any changes will be communicated clearly so you know what to expect before attending.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
