Cheney SchoolThe course focuses on helping you get by in real-life Italian-speaking environments, with an emphasis on building confidence in everyday conversation. You鈥檒l cover practical topics relevant to home and work life, including countries and nationalities, talking about jobs, expressing opinions about your work and discussing pay.
You will extend your knowledge of numbers to include thousands and millions, and learn how to use proportions and percentages in everyday contexts. The course also builds on the basic grammar introduced in Improvers A, developing your understanding of tenses, word order and sentence construction.
Through a mix of speaking, listening, reading and writing activities, you鈥檒l practise picking out key information from short texts on contemporary topics and learn to communicate more effectively and accurately. By the end of the course, you鈥檒l feel more confident using Italian in a wider range of situations.
Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2026 prior to starting the course.
As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
