This course is for young adults who have profound and multiple learning difficulties. The programme is multi-sensory and delivered in a supportive environment, with highly trained staff and a high staff/student ratio, aimed at improving communication, using a variety of different platforms, tailored to meet individual student needs. The course offers therapeutic provision, through the College鈥檚 own therapy team.
On this course students take part in a number of enrichment activities, which include Boccia, cooking and visiting local community facilities, such as the ICE centre.

The course is 5 days a week for 2 years, reducing to 3 days a week in the final year. 9.00am 鈥 3.30pm, every day, apart from Wednesdays, when the students finish at 2.30pm.

Staff work alongside representatives from Social Care and Continuing Health to support students as they move into adulthood.

What next?
At an appropriate time depending on progress made against EHCP outcomes students could transition onto our Developing Independence course, Living Independently course or adult social care.
Entry criteria
No formal entry requirements however all students are required to have an Education Health & Care Plan that is supported by their Local Authority, and places on any course are subject to the LA agreeing to fund placement.
Fee information
As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
