鈥 15 months practical training period, plus 3 months for End Point Assessment
Delivery model:
鈥 Work-based training with your employer
鈥 Day release during term time (approximately 1 day per week for 13 months)
鈥 Approximately 5 on-site visits per year
鈥 Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (7 days at college for each, if required)
鈥 Off the job training will count for at least 6 hours a week of an apprentice鈥檚 time at work

鈥 SiteRight Fire Door Installation Awareness
End Point Assessment:
鈥 Multiple choice knowledge test
鈥 Practical test
鈥 Professional discussion based on a portfolio of evidence
鈥 Health & safety in more detail than level 2
鈥 Plan/ carry out complex work well
鈥 Develop/ maintain excellent working relationships
鈥 Plan/ execute work tasks accurately
鈥 Importance of team working/ being prepared to take a lead
鈥 Advanced carpentry: erecting inclined roofs, complex roof structures, including hip/ dormer cut roods, maintaining/ repairing non-standard joinery products
鈥 Carry out advanced calculations and work out cutting angles
鈥 Complex joints eg. splayed and plumb
鈥 Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths
