The City & Guilds Basic Mobile Air Conditioning qualification is designed to equip learners with essential practical knowledge in the fundamentals of automotive air conditioning and safe refrigerant handling. Legally allowing them to discharge the Air Con system.
The one-day course is specifically developed to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and certification required to comply with EU regulations in the mobile air conditioning sector.

It is suitable for anyone working with refrigerants in the automotive industry, including mobile technicians, garages, body shops, main dealerships, and vehicle dismantlers.

Upon successful completion, technicians will receive a valid City and Guilds certificate that legally authorises them to recover F-gas.

Course units
On successful completion of this course learners will:
Hold the appropriate qualifications to work with refrigerant gases used in vehicle air conditioning systems.
Gain essential practical knowledge of automotive air conditioning principles and the correct procedures for refrigerant handling.
Perform servicing tasks, identify system components, check for leaks, and handle refrigerants in a safe, professional, and legally compliant manner.
Successfully complete both a practical and verbal assessment to achieve the accredited City & Guilds 7543-01 Certificate in Mobile Vehicle Air Conditioning and Refrigerant Handling.

Learners are not required to hold any previous qualifications however, it is advise they have technical understanding of modern day vehicles.
