Abingdon CampusYou鈥檒l be introduced to the Arabic alphabet and learn how to read, write and pronounce letters and words. By the end of the course, you鈥檒l be able to take part in basic social interactions such as introducing yourself and others, exchanging greetings, asking simple questions and extending invitations. You'll also develop an understanding of essential cultural norms and social customs across the Arabic-speaking world, with a particular focus on the differences between standard Arabic and spoken varieties, especially Egyptian dialect.
Topics are presented in a logical, beginner-friendly order to help you make steady progress without feeling overwhelmed. You鈥檒l cover key areas including Arabic letters, numbers, personal pronouns, prepositions, and useful everyday words and phrases.
This course is ideal for anyone who wants to begin their Arabic journey with confidence and clarity, supported by activities that make learning both accessible and enjoyable.
Please note there are no classes during half term.
Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2026 prior to starting the course.
As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
