District Community Centre鈥 Simple still life to establish learner鈥檚 level of experience 鈥 Rule of thirds: learners to experiment with designing a series of compositions using this method 鈥 Rule of thirds part two: Finished painting 鈥 Negative space: learners to observe negative spaces in a still life then utilise strong negative shapes in designing a composition. 鈥 Colour in composition: Learners to consider the effective juxta positioning of colours to lead the eye and balance the painting. 鈥 Flesh tones: Grisaille study 鈥 Flesh tones glazing over previously produced grisaille paint 鈥 Figure composition part one: Simple perspective of townscape 鈥 Figure composition part two: placing figures within 鈥 Negotiated lesson.
Please note there are no classes during half term.
Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2026 prior to starting the course.
As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
